The White House

Welcome to Vice President Chirper's page. To give you some background, the President and Vice President go back a long way, having known each other since their college days together. In those days, it seemed like the future Vice President was always getting involved in one mishap or another, and the future President was always bailing him out (sometimes literally!). The times they shared together formed a life long bond between the two of them.

When the time came for the future President to pick a running mate, in his mind there was only one choice.

Here is where you can see the Vice President at home, see him interact with the President and learn about what functions he performs at the White House.

Then as now, at times the President serves as a mentor to the Vice President, who then as now, makes an attempt at taking his old friend's advice, sometimes with less than desirable results.

Unfortunately, the beginnings of this administration's first scandal was about to rear its ugly head. President Rudo and Vice President Chirper were having a meeting in the White House library, as they often do, when the President noticed a spot on the carpet. President Rudo, upon closer inspection, noticed that the spot was damp to the touch. He suspected that maybe "some one" may have had an "accident" on the carpet, and was too embarrassed to admit it. Considering that this was the room that First Lady Bootsi was in the process of redecorating (the new carpet was just laid last week!), and that there'd be hell to pay once she heard about it, the President thought he could head off any problems by interjecting a little bit of humor.

Well, as they say, time heals all. Within a few weeks things were getting back to normal. It was springtime in Washington and the cherry trees and daffodils were blooming, the age old renewal of life. And of course with the advent of Spring love was in the air, and Vice President Chirper was no slouch in that department! He was considered one of the most eligible bachelors in Washington, and each season brought its own share of gala balls and festivities. Although the Vice President had never really considered marriage, he got close one time late last year. She was an attachi to the Russian government, and they had a whirlwind affair. They talked about being together, how he wanted her to stay with him, but she missed her homeland, and he couldn't leave his. They parted at a misty airstrip, both vowing to never forget the other. The Vice President, being a pragmatic individual, and recognizing he had a duty to his nation, began the process of trying to heal, and moved on.

Until that day a basket arrived in the Rose Garden, and he had to remember.

If you've been following the story in the "Scandals" section, you've been introduced to Vice President Chirper's four boys: Chipper, Trooper, Dino and Doodle. They were now in the process of settling down to life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Actually "settling down" probably isn't the best way to describe what was going on. As we all know, boys will be boys, and the Vice President's boys were no exception. The First Lady, becoming increasingly concerned about the boys destroying something in the White House, suggested to Vice President Chirper that some outdoor excercise might dissipate some of their energy. After a few days of this First Lady Bootsi took it upon herself to offer another suggestion to the novice father; some education should probably be considered.

The Vice President did appreciate the attention the First Lady was paying to his boys. He felt it was good for them to have a female influence since their own mother couldn't be here for them, and he had to admit that the First Lady's mood had certainly improved recently, perhaps because of the boys. The other day Vice President Chirper had caught a glimpse of her in the White House family quarters. She appeared to be playing with, or arranging, four little hats on the floor. He secretly hoped that she wasn't planning on putting them on his boys, but it was nice to see her happy. He didn't know it at the time but First Lady Bootsi definitely had plans for those little hats. You can find out what she had in mind by clicking here.
